Join the Chicagoland Corvair Enthusiasts for a leisurely Indiana Cruise!
Meet at Cracker Barrel on Kennedy Ave. in Northern Indiana, off of 80-94, exit Kennedy W, Exit 3, for an 8:45 a.m. drivers meeting.
The tour starts with a leisurely drive toward Michigan City on the Dunes Highway.
First stop will be Mount Baldy (the most picturesque of the dunes).
The next stop will be Ragtime Museum. Opens at 11:00 a.m., admission is $5.00.
We will break for lunch next door at the Shoreline Brew Pub.
Twelve home brews on tap. Food prices from $8.00 to $14.00 without brew.
After lunch continue down Rt. 12 to International Friendship.
Gardens are accessed by walking earthen trail. A golf cart is available. Admission is $4.00.
Next stop is the Houston Steam Museum in Houston.
Includes working full size steam engine and a minature train that ran at Kiddie Land in Melrose Park.
Admission is free. Rides are $5.00 each.
End the day at a local restaurant, the Houston Supper Club.
