CHICAGOLAND PT CRUISER CLUB BIOGRAPHIES

Owner Name/Information: Kevin, Ani & Nathaniel S.

I've always been a MOPAR guy. My grandpa was
a Dodge mechanic, and the rest of my family
grew up owning, repairing and revering all
things Chrysler, so I guess it’s in my genes.
All of the vehicles I've owned have been
Chrysler products, except my first, which was
a 1966 Datsun 1600 Roadster. I bought the
Datsun for $250.00 in 1975 with less than
20,000 miles on it, six months before I had
my driver’s license. The original owner
died in the Vietnam War, and his father
stored it in his Wisconsin barn for several
years. I drove it for several years, and
eventually it was restored to near original
condition (Over two years it was up on
blocks in an old chicken coup where I tore
it down and rebuilt it). I sold it in 1983,
and missed having a car that I could work on.
I always wanted a muscle car, but could never
justify the expense. Not long after the PT
was introduced, I noticed that many owners
were modifying their cars, and started
thinking that maybe I could have a vehicle
that I could drive daily, and modify on the
weekends. When the GT was introduced in 2003
I was hooked. I would have my "muscle" in a
retro-modern package, with almost endless
possibilities to modify it and customize it
to make it mine. So in December ’03 I bought
my GT, and I've been a Cruiser ever since.
